About Blane

Blane Warrene

Hello!

I’m Blane Warrene — a product and operations executive in Raleigh-Durham, NC, and I’ve spent two decades on one stubborn problem: technology keeps outrunning the rules built around it. Off-channel messaging, AI inside regulated workflows, the compliance frameworks that let firms adopt new tools instead of fearing them. I’m drawn to that work because it sits right where the messy human parts of an organization meet the systems we ask to hold them together.

That’s taken me from building and operating SaaS in financial services to stages with Smarsh, Morningstar, and TD Ameritrade — and to bylines in SitePoint, InvestmentNews, and Financial Planning, plus a book with Wiley. Most recently, I’ve gone deep on Product in Acquisitions: turning hard-won operating lessons into Product in Acquisitions OS, a repeatable playbook for product leaders navigating M&A.

Today I write weekly on business operating systems for the AI decade, ship the Product in Acquisitions OS framework, and take a small number of advisory and board conversations by appointment. If there is a problem in my lane, book a conversation.
